They are humans' closest relative, sharing a similar genetic make-up and displaying behaviour not unlike our own. 

Now this little chimpanzee is showing off a motherly instinct to rival even the most maternal of mankind.

These adorable images reveal the close bond that has formed between a two-year-old chimpanzee called Do Do and a two-month-old tiger cub called Aorn.

he Gibson guitar Bob Marley played throughout the 1970s, and was famously photographed for a Rolling Stone cover in 1976, has made its first journey out of Jamaica since his death in 1981.

Ziggy Marley hand-delivered the guitar Tuesday (May 10) to the Grammy Museum to make it a centerpiece in the exhibit "Bob Marley: Messenger" that opened today (May 11), the 30th anniversary of Marley's death.

"That was his weapon," Ziggy Marley told Billboard.com at the downtown Los Angeles museum. "It was one of the most important things to him. To share that with people -- he would have wanted that. He wanted people to be as close to him as possible. He was a not a solitary kind of person."

Getting ever more involved in the Charlie Sheen drama is Paris Hilton, who on Saturday sent him a Tweet with a winking emoticon saying, "Hey Neighbor, I think I might have Tigerblood and I'm definitely winning! Huge!"

Hilton, 30, who has had her own high-profile troubles with drugs and the law, also features Sheen's estranged wife, Brooke Mueller, on her new Oxygen Network reality show, The World According to Paris.

Although the segments were filmed before Mueller and Sheen started tangling over custody of their twins, the pair's at-times volatile relationship is addressed on the series, which debuts in the spring, Hilton says.

We all know that Charlie Sheen is one 911 call from the morgue. He has made the ambulance trip before, and he doesn’t see it coming. Denial is a classic symptom of drug addiction.

Charlie Sheen gets McLobster challenge on Twitter

Charlie Sheen was bombarded with Tweets Thursday urging the troubled star to post a photo of himself eating the new and elusive McLobster sandwich at at McDonalds. Why? That's anyone's guess. But given the erratic behavior and equally erratic photos posted by Sheen to his new Twitter account, Sheen eating a McLobster sandwich on Twitter would actually be one of the least strange stunts the actor has pulled of late.

McLobster Rumor Smelled Fishy, Is all Wet

The latest McLobster rumor has been officially McQuashed. A viral rumor that McDonalds would soon offer its McLobster roll, available at a handful of East Coast outlets, nationwide, has been shot down.

The roll has been offered for a number of years at select outlets in New England and eastern Canada, but the company has no current plans to distribute the dish nationwide--despite rumors.

Other regional dishes offered by the fast-food chain are beer in some German outlets, McCrab at outlets in the Chesapeake Bay region, taro pie in Southeast Asia and McRice in various regions.

It's official: as long as you move forward and throw strikes -- whether they land or not -- mixed martial arts judges across the land will award you a decision.
Martin Kampmann didn't just outland Diego Sanchez in all three rounds, but mashed his face to the point that Joe Rogan looked uncomfortable staring at it up close in the post-fight interview. Unfortunately for Kampmann, moving backwards, countering, and stuffing takedowns is not Effective Fight Strategy according to the official magistrates of the sport.
Also unfortunate for Kampmann? His boss, UFC President Dana White, agreed with the official decision, so he won't receive the same benefit of the doubt bestowed upon Evan Dunham when judges awarded Sean Sherk the victory at UFC 119.

Only 24 hours after Charlie Sheen got started on Twitter with @CharlieSheen, he had amassed more than 900,000 followers, easily one of the fastest follower roll-ups the service has seen. Howard Stern, who signed up nearly a month ago, still only has 355,000.

Is the McLobster coming to a Cleveland McDonalds near you?

Rumors are flying that McDonalds has launched a brand new product.
Chunks of 100% lobster meat (we hope) on a hot dog bun with lobster roll sauce (looks like a combination of tartar sauce and salad dressing) with some lettuce and diced celery for texture will make up this summer taste sensation.
I have been lucky enough to spend some time on Cape Cod during the summer months and know a real lobster roll costs much more than what you will find at your local McDonalds.
I contacted McDonalds via email requesting additional information about the menu item with no luck.  According to McDonalds Twitter page (@mcdonalds) the company has no plans to bring the McLobster to the US menu nationwide.
The McLobster is currently available only in Eastern Canada and parts of Maine.

Charlie Sheen may or may not be “winning,” in life, but he has won a rare honor: the “Fastest Time to Reach 1 Million Followers” Guinness World Record.
Guinness community manager Dan Barrett says the agency “just researched and approved” the record this morning. According to Barrett, Sheen reached that milestone in 25 hours and 17 minutes. As of this writing, Sheen’s Twitter account, @CharlieSheen, has close to 1.2 million followers. Guinness did not have a previous record for that category, Barrett says. Sheen also set a Guinness record for “Highest Paid TV Actor Per Episode — Current” at $1.25 million.

MTSU basketball player fatally stabbed

Middle Tennessee State University basketball player Tina Stewart was fatally stabbed Wednesday night at an apartment complex near the Murfreesboro campus.
Stewart was assaulted at about 7 p.m. at the Raiders Crossings Apartments on Hazelwood Street, Murfreesboro police said. She was taken to Middle Tennessee Medical Center, where she died.
Murfreesboro Police arrested her roommate, Shanterrica Madden, 18, a freshman at MTSU, and charged her in connection with the crime.
“There was an argument,” Murfreesboro Police spokesman Kyle Evans said. “During that argument, Madden stabbed the victim.”
Police initially picked up a man and a woman for questioning and were searching for another woman.
“All other people involved have been picked up, and we do not consider them suspects at this time,” Evans said.

Charlie Sheen may be losing the faith of his family, but he's got 711,972 new followers (as of this writing) on Twitter to comfort him. Word broke Tuesday night of Sheen's arrival to the microblogging site.
In his first tweet, he and Bree Olson, one of the "goddesses," showed off bottles of milk chocolate and pineapple juice with the caption "Winning..! Choose your Vice..." Some wondered whether Sheen was making money from promoting the drinks on Twitter. Others just wanted to follow along the spiraling one-man Sheen show.
Sheen also sent out a photograph of a homemade Oscar award, a photograph of his watch, calling it "the only watch that keeps Warlock time," and addressed the reported removal of his children from his home. "My sons' are fine... My path is now clear... Defeat is not an option..!"
By Wednesday morning, Sheen's hashtag "#tigerblood" had become a worldwide trending topic.

Tiger Blood and Winning: Charlie Sheen Joins Twitter

Whether you think actor Charlie Sheen's recent behavior is bi-polar, sad, highly entertaining, or hilarious, one thing is for sure - he has made quite the impression on the Twitterverse.
The beleagured (former) star of CBS's "Two and a Half Men" joined Twitter earlier this week via @CharlieSheen. He has since amassed more than 800,000 followers, who apparently can't wait to hear about tiger blood and winning, two of Sheen's favorite topics.
In an interview with NBC earlier this week, Sheen said that Alcoholics Anonymous is intended for "people that aren't special. People that don't have tiger blood, you know, Adonis DNA." He later used the #TigerBlood hashtag on Twitter, propelling it to the top of Twitter's trending topics in the United States and worldwide.

The McLobster Sandwich and other McMenu Madness Around The World

As you might have read on our website (or otherwise heard), there’s this new phenomena spreading called the McGangBang. In doing research (or whatever you call searching the Internet for info) for the McGangBang, I came across something else called the McLobster. Originally, I thought it was a joke. McDonald’s isn’t exactly high brow enough to serve Lobster, now is it? I’d consider lobster to be a seafood delicacy. But I soon came to realize that it indeed was real and began shaking in my boots at the prospect of such a McFood.
To be fair, the McLobster is hardly new. It’s been around for several years, but unless you live in Eastern Canada or New England, you might not be aware of the crustaceous cousin of the Filet-o-Fish. It comes and goes, much like the McRib, and the maritime treat basically represents McDonald’s take on the venerable lobster roll. The disturbing mix of lobster and bread is smothered in white “McLobster sauce”, which is some combination of mayonnaise, tartar sauce, and possibly some salad dressing. Shredded lettuce and bits of celery are also included. Photo below by “are you gonna eat that?”

Yet despite having one of the year's biggest events, ABC had to settle for second place for the week among viewers under 50: It averaged a 3.3 in the demo, behind Fox's first-place 3.6. ABC did end up the most-watched network overall last week, averaging 10.7 million viewers.

NBC's mid-winter slump is depressing: Last week, the Peacock averaged only 5 million viewers on any given night; its three other major broadcast rivals all averaged over 10 million. Among adults 18 to 49, things weren't much better: NBC averaged a mere 1.5 rating, more than 30 percent behind the network ranked third in that metric (CBS). The silver lining in these numbers: Fans of bubble shows such as Parks and Recreation and Community can probably relax. Parks was NBC's fourth highest-rated show with people under 50 last week, while Community was among the network's top ten in the category. Hard to see how new Peacock chief Bob Greenblatt could get rid of some of the only shows with a pulse.

Corey Haim was a prolific and well-known actor in his younger days, starring in a string of 1980s hits including the cult vampire classic The Lost Boys.

So when the actor, who died last March at the age of 38, was left out of the montage of actors who passed way over the last year at the Academy Awards on Sunday night, his mother was outraged.

"When it was over, I shut the TV off and was so hurt, and I was numb and feeling his pain," Judy Haim tells PEOPLE exclusively. "This would have hurt him to the core."

She asked the Academy for an explanation, but wasn't satisfied with the response.

Tina Brown, 'Morning Joe' Team Roast Oscars (VIDEO)

Add the "Morning Joe" team and Tina Brown to the list of vicious reviews of Sunday night's Oscars. The entire panel on Monday's show had nothing but contempt for the show--Joe Scarborough called it a "disgrace"--but Brown led the pack, ripping into co-host Anne Hathaway with glee.
Brown said the show was the "very worst" she'd ever seen. And she said Hathaway was "just this drip, as far as I can see. I could not take her simpering...her self-confidence was so misplaced."
Later, Brown laid into Hathaway again, calling her "utterly devoid of any real humor."
The crew also attempted to figure out just what was going on with James Franco. Mika Brzezinski, Willie Geist and Brown seemed sure that something untoward was going on with him. Brown speculated that a "backstage bong had completely incapacitated his head."

Oscars Audience Drops 9.8%

A smaller audience watched the Oscars ceremony on Sunday night, reversing two years of growth for the one of television's biggest events.
About 37.6 million people watched the Academy Awards, according to early Nielsen Co. data provided by broadcaster ABC. There were few surprises through the evening, and favored best-picture nominee— "The King's Speech" —picked up the top honor.
The tally was down 9.8% from the 41.7 million who watched a year ago, and ranks as the fifth-least watched ceremony since at least 1974, according to Nielsen.

The Oscars 'Twilight' Surprise? AUTO-TUNE!

Even though the "Twilight" and "Harry Potter" movies aren't exactly Oscar bait, and even though the casts thereof were notably not in attendance at tonight's 83rd Annual Academy Awards, fans of the wizard-and-vampire genres still had a good reason to tune in for the broadcast: a highly anticipated, majorly hyped musical moment about halfway through the show. GAH, the excitement! What could it be?!
Well, tune in we did—sticking it out through seven acts of chatter, back-patting and James Franco in a magenta dress to see it. And while Robert Pattinson didn't show up (sorry girls, we know you're disappointed), what did happen was something even more extraordinary.
And by "extraordinary," we mean "T-Pain would have LOVED this."

The 5 Most Talked About Earrings at the Oscars

The 83rd Academy Awards were held last night and we couldn’t be more excited to tune in to see all the glamorous fashion and jewelry. One piece of jewelry that we think shined the most were earrings. The Ice.com team discussed our favorite earrings this morning and some that we wish the starlets would have reconsidered.

Emeralds: Reese Witherspoon and Annette Bening both wore dark gowns with vibrant green emerald earrings. Reese’s Neil Lane emeralds were highlighted nicely with her high ponytail. Both Reese and Annette’s drop earrings closely resembled Angelina Jolie’s famous emeralds she wore to the Oscars in 2009.

The Works Bids You All A Joyous Oscar-Laden Farewell

David Fincher and Aaron Sorkin: The Works has always been a partnership between two strong personalities. For the past few months, Shoals and I have worked in something approaching harmony -- we both approach the NBA in the same borderline-intellectual way (in part because I ripped him off). The first incarnation of the column, though, matched seeming opposites in Shoals and Tom Ziller. If Shoals is the hip professor, then Ziller is the savant who knows so much about the sport that he's above a position in the academy. David Fincher occupies a similar role -- he's a technical master with a sneaky emotional pull -- but he initially seemed to be an odd fit for the talkative style of Aaron Sorkin. No matter: while "The Social Network" didn't come away with the top prize at the Oscars, the two teamed up for a fine film that become the most talked-about movie of the year. Ziller and Shoals had worked together before and will work together again, but this partnership was perhaps their most effective ever.

Scarlett never disappoints on the makeup front and for the biggest awards do of the year she upped the ante.
The recently single actress bravely opted for an experimental look and the red carpet risk was worth taking. Orange makeup isn’t a path you’d automatically go down when you know all eyes will be on you but after seeing this perhaps next time you will.

Politics at the Oscars -- Union Support

ABC News' Chris Marderosian reports:

At the Academy Awards tonight, best cinematography winner Wally Pfister made a point during his acceptance speech of thanking his union crew on “Inception.”

Backstage he went further, expressing shock at Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s budget proposal, which would limit union’s collective bargaining powers. Opponents of the plan have been protesting at the state capitol for 21 days.

'Social Network' disappoints at Oscars

Its fortunes didn't fare quite so well as the company it was based on: "The Social Network," a controversial recounting of the origins of Facebook, did not win the Oscar for Best Picture at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards tonight. As many had been expecting, the award went instead to historical drama "The King's Speech."

"The Social Network" also failed to win Best Director (that also went to "The King's Speech"), Best Cinematography, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Actor, where Jesse Eisenberg's portrayal of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg fell in favor of "King's Speech" lead actor Colin Firth. In the Best Actor category, Eisenberg had not been expected to win (in addition to Firth, he was up against the likes of Jeff Bridges and Javier Bardem), but director David Fincher had had a good shot at Best Director and the film was widely considered the front-runner for Best Picture until buzz about "The King's Speech" started to escalate.

We’re more than halfway through the Oscars and Aaron Sorkin’s epic Facebook creation myth The Social Network has already picked up Best Film Editing, Best Original Score and Best Adapted Screenplay. The Social Network, which picked up four awards including Best Picture at the Golden Globes, is definitely the Twitter and tech crowd favorite tonight at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards, and indeed it looks like we have something to to root for despite David Fincher losing to The King’s Speech’s Tom Hooper for Best Director.

A R Rahman loses Oscars for original score, song

Los Angeles: Indian music maestro A R Rahman lost out in both the categories he was nominated to in the 83rd Annual Academy Awards - Best Original Score and Original Song for the film '127 Hours'.

The 'Best Original Score' award went to Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for 'The Social Network' and the 'Best Original Song' went to Randy Newman for 'We Belong Together'(Toy Story 3).

Stephen Paea Proves He Is A Workout Warrior, Is That Good For His Draft Ranking?
Many are the stories of the workout warrior who "wins" the Combine before failing to produce in the NFL.
Stephen Paea pressed 225 lbs. 49 times at the Combine, setting a new record for the event. He beat out Leif Larson, Mitch Petrus and Mike Kudla, who all were tied at the top with 45 reps.
Paea may have won the bench press, but lifting weights is absolutely no indication of how well a person will do on the football field. It proves Paea is big and strong, and that is about it.
According to Paea's bio, he didn't start playing football until he was 16 years old, playing rugby in the nation of Tonga prior to attending high school in the United States.
